Rahul Desphande, modern brand ambassador for a century old craft, was kind enough to lend couple hours of his valuable time for an intimate workshop of Hindustani Classical Vocal students of Aarohan School of Music. Students took away a lot of tangible techniques from this workshop; but most of all, they will forever remember his attention to detail, his focused interest and a relaxed and easy attitude.

We definitely need more such modern brand ambassadors to promote and democratize this rich art form that has previously been associated with aristocracy.

Srikanta Acharya Workshop:

It was a great privilege for Aarohan students and music enthusiasts to be able to spend an evening with Mr.Srikanta Acharya, who is a well known, Kolkata-based, modern Bengali singer and one of the most prominent exponents of Rabindra Sangeet.

 Kaushiki’s Workshop

It’s not that often, classical music aspirants get to learn, perceive, and spend time with today’s leading singer. To be able to host Kaushiki Chakraborty’s first-ever Workshop “Perception” in the USA, was itself a great opportunity and privilege for Aarohan. It was humbling to see a sense of ease in her instructions. Thank you Kaushiki Chakraborty for diffusing your divine music among all of us.
